Confidence - 中譯: 信任;信心,自信;秘密
early 15c., from M.Fr. confidence or directly from L. confidentia, from confidentem (nom. confidens) "firmly trusting, bold," prp. of confidere "to have full trust or reliance," from com-, intensive prefix (see com-), + fidere "to trust" (see faith). For sense of "swindle" see con (3).

(論語/顏淵第十二)
子貢問「政」。子曰:「足食,足兵,民信之矣。」子貢曰:「必不得已而去,於斯三者何先?」曰:「去兵。」子貢曰:「必不得已而去,於斯二者何先?」曰:「去食。自古皆有死,民無信不立。」

再變出 Confidentiality (中譯: 保密;機密性,讀 ,kɔnfə,dentʃi:'æləti: [, 為次重音 ' 為重音 ə 為模糊原音])
-ity
suffix forming abstract nouns from adjectives, meaning "condition or quality of being ______," from M.E. -ite, from O.Fr. -ité and directly from L. -itatem (nom. -itas), suffix denoting state or condition, composed of connective -i- + -tas (see -ty (2)).
